**** I AM CURRENTLY NOT TAKING SHOE ORDERS****
I like to take on all sorts of projects. I blame the fact that I can’t sit still to save my life. The latest has been painting custom shoes. I get inquires pretty regularly and thought it was time to have a place to find what you want to know.
My customs are painted with high-end airbrush paint. It is a very durable, heat-set paint that will have lots of wear without showing any damage like cracking and peeling. The paint is also waterproof, meaning you can wear and clean them without colors running or paint weakening. With proper care, they can have a very long, active life!
Because they are all hand-painted shoes, they will remain one of a kind. I will not under any circumstances repeat any shoe designs. It’s just not fair to the client to replicate their idea. If you have or get a pair of shoes from me, you can sleep soundly knowing they are the only ones.

If you are interested in ordering a pair of customs (and I can currently accept them), simply contact me with photos and your idea. Have nothing specific in mind? No worries! We can brainstorm. There’s quite a few factors that have to be considered for designs but together, there’s nothing we can’t do. How wonderfully corny is that?
I can paint on any shoe that is canvas. Vans Slip-On’s are the obvious and best choice for customs. Aside from the fact they are super durable, they provide the largest area for painting and can handle way more design options. I will not, however, paint another pair of Toms. The thin material doesn’t let the paint set properly, they don’t have a very long life and the lack of sole means they get dirtier easier (which means they need more cleaning….which means they fall apart sooner). It’s just not a good shoe to invest in custom art. Anything else that’s canvas is fair game.
Prices for customs depend on the amount of work they will take to complete. I request that clients purchase their own shoes to ensure fit- it would super suck for both of us if you had a pair of customs be too small. You will receive a quote after I check out the artwork and we discuss what you want.
Unfortunately, I cannot take orders full-time. The nature of my life limits the time I can dedicate to a pair or two. However, I’ve been able to take more orders at a time when I can. If you are really anxious for a pair, say for a wedding present or gift, feel free to let me know anyway and I can see what we can work out in the time frame that works for you.
